A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm not a fan of taking dozens of medications. I've been using cannabis medicinally for several years. I grow my own and research everything I can about the plant. It helps me a great deal in my disease management. Just curious if anyone else uses this is in there regiment and how well it works.

Pain Meds Or Cannabis

A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Sugarloaf, CA

Lumbar spondylitis with bulging discs is my condition, I'm prescribed norco 4x daily. My friend thinks I should just smoke cannabis for pain relief. It is not sufficient. But I cannot convince him. Therefore I'm a druggie in his eyes.😔

When Is It Time To Try Biologics?

A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭
West Palm Beach, FL

I was diagnosed with non-radiographic axSpa a few months ago. I’ve tried several NSAIDs, PT over the years, exercise, prednisone, injections etc., all of which have helped some, but I am still having pain
The rheumatologist wants me to try 4 weeks of prednisone again, along with Tramadol, to see if that will help. When I mentioned concerns about progression, he said that I shouldn’t worry about it - but that Enbrel might be an option if I would like to try it
I appreciate all the help I’ve… read more

Arthritis Vs. Ankylosing Spondylitis

A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Dublin, GA

My friend had been diagnosed with severe arthritis in his lower back. He goes to a pain clinic where he receives two strong prescriptions (Norco & Tramadol) for the pain but they only give him little. If it is AS, has anyone tried acupuncture? If so, has it helped. He is very depressed and I’m worried about his mental… read more
