Hello. I'm 56 I Have 3 Bulging Discs And They Hurt For 10 Months Now. What Should I Do As Far As Seeking Tests? Pain Levels 3 To 7 Morfreque
More frequently. I've had 3 mri's over the past 6 years and the last was 5 months ago. I'm planning on having referral sent to hospital of my choosing but I was wondering if I need a CT scan instead of mri this next time. I have rib pain, seldom abdominal pain, pain around my groin area, butt, backs of legs, feet and sometimes front of legs. Sciatica both legs but started out with right leg about 6 years ago at work. Thankyou for sharing. I will keep on my pcp for referrals. I would like to see a rheumatologist and or a orthopedic doctor
I am sorry…Most doctors either don’t know anything about AS or make assumptions that we are just complaining of common back pain caused by degenerative arthritis or a injury, or even med seeking (of which all happened to me prior to being diagnosed). It took me about five years of misery before I got diagnosed by a rheumatologist. I had to be my own advocate & keep pushing my PCP for a referral, as I know my own body better than any doctor can tell me. Don’t give up! Keep pushing.
Good that you kept on at it. That's how I feel, that I'm my own advocate. I just got off the phone with my special needs coordinator, but i was chastised again to stay away from doctor Google. And she didn't know what AS even is or the differences between ankylosing spondylitis and ankylosing spondylosis. But when you're left without hardly any options it makes sense to me to educate yourself to try to learn and figure out what it is
Best of luck!! Don’t give up until you get the answers you deserve!
It took me several years going to therapy and pain management to get referred to Rheumatologist. They have helped me so much and explained my condition. Try to get referred to internists or rheumatologist
My Neck Hurts Me The Most.
I Have Spondylosis Not Spondylitis Any One Else Have This As They Are Different
How Can U Go About Getting A Good Diagnosis Of This When You're Adopted
