Random Toe/foot Spasms Usually In The Evening When Relaxing?
I thought I read about someone having weird toe/foot spasms that won’t let you physically move them for a few minutes…but I can’t find it anywhere on here! Has anyone experienced this?
Believe it or not, I find if I eat a banana I don't get those anymore. 2 days no banana I go back to monkey feet. Pun intended. 😁 Seriously though, it must be something in the bananas because potassium supplements don't stop them. I make a smoothie for lunch almost every day and put a banana in them. Problem solved. I mean, I still have plantar fasciitis and dactylitis and arthritis, and kicked an a hole in the head one too many times in my youth itis, but the splayed out toes and funky foot shape from those painful spasms don't happen.
I used to take Potassium, ddn't work for me! I don't care for bananas except in ice cream, ~LOL~ does that count? I only take about a shot of pickle juice, works every time!! Use your better judgment!!! Different strokes for different folks, right...? Have a painfree day my friends...😉
Do they have potassium or something else that stops muscle spasms? Pickles are very high in sodium. According to onemedical.com, sodium can "sensitize sympathetic neurons in the brain....causing muscle contractions", i.e. muscle spasms. Many people experience increased swelling from salts (sodium) as well. Sorry to be a party pooper💩, but severely arthritic people should probably consider avoiding this one.😒
On the positive side though, if it makes you feel better, even if only in the taste buds, then toss the risk and go for it! Sometimes a bit of indulgence is the best medicine of all, no matter the consequences. What's living anyway without a bit of dangerous excitement?!
Pickle juice works!😉
I make soap and beauty products and make my magnesium cream., I decided if I make it I’ll know what is in it, no chemicals!
