COVID Affects While On Two AS Medications.
Yesterday I worked a 12-hour shift at the hospital. My day was spent with extensive hours in one patient's room. She was there for other conditions. Due to a procedure scheduled, she was given a COVID test. It resulted in a positive. When I let her know, she cried, "What else can go wrong"? I just gave her time, knowing, this news was compounded by her other issues. I said a prayer for her, my coworkers, and myself silently. Today I called each appointment I have scheduled for this week. Each… read more
Covid is real. And it’s a Monster. I was in ICU in a Coma for 6 weeks. Took me 5 months to get back home.
You are entitled to your opinion. But remember it is Your opinion
Thank you for your response and for taking the time to share what you've experienced and understand. It is the basis of things I've not heard until now and I plan to look into things with my doctors. I have a medical background but I don't have one with AS. Thank you so much. This is very useful information. I'll take it all into consideration. Respectfully, Lola
Sending you my lunch picture. I made it simple and half from the food pantry, thank you to those that I go to, bless them. ( AS has kept me from working full-time for 2 years). On a bed of chopped lettuce, it's topped with 3 thin slices of seasoned chicken breast. A drizzle of balsamic and olive oil. One 1/2 cup of thin pasta and simmered real sauce without sugar. My grandmother always dropped in the sauce one whole egg, it poaches in the sauce and takes on the flavor. It is on top of the pasta in the pic. Baby Brussels sprouts with a little grated Romano cheese over the dish.
Mange' bene, "eat well". Sending it because when I can eat, I do and today, I could and thought of you so sent the pic.
That's true, that's what I was told by the Nurse today. I'm staying in. I have a really fresh whole young chicken I plan to season. I am a very good cook. I don't eat out and if I could write a cookbook, I would. One would be how food can be very sensuous, and how to enjoy it with someone you love. The second would be old-school recipes, but a highlight of those in a simple healthy way. I'm super at recipes for two but I came from a very large family cooking. I also sketch, and tomorrow since my PT is canceled, I'll enjoy that. I started a "pass it forward" cookbook in January 2023, for my daughter. Italians really don't use a recipe. However, she is a better cook than I am now. I may not be able to make it one day, but I can give her one that I began and one she can continue. Isn't that fun? I'll send a picture. Enjoy this beautiful evening..........I appreciate you. Lola
@A MySpondylitisTeam Member, I'm the same if I think I was exposed I change anything coming up until the 5 days pass ( that's supposed to be the incubation period) and I'm symptom free.
