Sorry to hear this but as you will see on here a lot of people are worse off after the surgery than before with more pain or pain somewhere else, it seems to me that one surgery often leads to another one somewhere else. You need to do a lot of research before considering surgery, speak to other people who have already had it done and see what their experience is and research the surgeon who will do the operation and check he is recommended by others who he has operated on before. My brother in law had a heart operation and it was later discovered that the surgeon wasn't a qualified surgeon at all, this is frightening but it does happen, fraud can occur in every job but when this person literally has your life in their hands it's a terrifying prospect. I've been living with chronic pain over 10 years and become use to hiding it from family and friends! Severe days I stay in my bedroom with ice and heat watch comedies and meditate and also listen to cardinal melodies (they have beautiful tones)!! I do not like to share my agony I'm a person to care for others!! That is why it took me a year to post!! I wish you and your family the best support, love, peace, and God's Blessings!!!

Hello, I has my first back surgery in 2012 s1-2 Lumbar lowest ones close to my tail bone. I was able to go back to work, later backvsurgery 2 and 3, those effected me and I lost of 10+ yrs. Bad surgeon, I will not say more. Finally found amazing neurosurgeon for back surgery 4. 5.That's when I had a fusion and rods and screws put in. I was able to get around with and walker when needed. Back surgery #5, was unplanned, almost emergency surgery, had surgery, most painful of all of them. I had been weaker and falling more and bent a rod in my back. Spent 3 months total hospital and care center. Pain was unreal! I don't much anymore for pain, learning to live it, sometimes ibuprofen, most of time don't take anything. My best advice, make sure you trust you medical team, look up your doctors, check license , etc ..
Educate yourself on your health issues, research, take note, ask questions. I wish I has done this before all of them. I have surgery on 3/4 of my back. I am paralyzed and can stand and transfer with walker, wheelchair and caregiver. Look into it and know what your options are. I live my Nuerosurgeon, he took weeks to investigate everything on records, share and talk with his partners and sat down and talked to me, not at me. Just try and what you can. I hope you will be OK and get soon.

I'm sorry to hear that your back pain has worsened after fusion surgery. Here are some points to consider based on the knowledge base:

- Post-Surgery Recovery: It's essential to follow the recovery plan provided by your doctor, which may include physical therapy and wearing a brace.
- Potential Complications: Spinal surgery can have complications such as ongoing pain, hardware fracture, or implant migration.
- Activity and Pain: Inflammatory back pain tends to improve with movement, so staying active might help alleviate some discomfort.

If your pain persists, it's crucial to consult your healthcare provider for further evaluation and management.
