Off Of Humira And Wondering What's Next?

A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question πŸ’
Jefferson City, MO

Due to my recent move to a new state my medical professionals are unable to continue to assist me out of state. Therefore, my Humira has run out without a pre-authorization from my PCP. I read If you stop using your Humira, your condition may worsen. Humira is not a cure. Withdrawal side effects are not likely to occur with Humira, but your signs or symptoms based on your condition, like joint pain and inflammation, stomach symptoms, or structural bone damage may worsen or return.Aug 29, 2024"… read more

@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. Zonia.com They are airing free 30-60 min clips online this week and next. Different topics each time. Each airs online for 24 hours til the next one starts. Youve missed the first two, if you get this today, Thanksgiving, you can still catch today's topic on the impact the gut microbiome makes on autoimmune disease. I think i recall them saying 70%. Tips on fixing it. I began reading about it a few years ago. Taking a high quality probiotic twice a day has helped tremendously. My issue is stress, mainly family related. I've fixed the relationships, but i have childhood trauma that needs work on the amygdala level before im fixed. Lisa, I'll try a link for you here to Zonia. But the address is above. The topic is "Unbroken Decoding Autoimmunity".

We got this girls! Im on board and i deep within believe the cure is within us. Meds are no good, just mask the root cause. Meds will never work if we don't address the cause. They're sometimes a good tool until we fix the root cause, but never the solution. I'm no anti dr, anti med, anti vaccine hari krishma nutbag (respectfully) its just that the meds made me have more problems and im seeing progress with the wholistic choices. Antioxidants act against the same out of control cytokines that the biologics and DMARDS do according to National Institute of Health publications. And they are a whole lot cheaper, less painful to administer, taste good most of the time (fruits, veggies, and herbs) and they dont contain Chinese Hamster Ovaries for Pete's sake. 🀷 Happy Thanksgiving. Cheers to you ladies and better health, and weather for Lola's sake, in 2025. πŸ™πŸ˜ŒπŸ¦ƒ Yours in better health P. We'll do it together. πŸ’ͺπŸ˜‰

@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. I have goosebumps for you Lola. If you cant find it, let me know. I can email it to you. I am so inspired by watching the first episode. It's affirming to everything ive put together over the past few years of my own research. Like you said. "what we didn't know" is everything the drs are too busy and overwhelmed with an increaingly large demand from cancer and autoimmune patients to teach us. And the medications, something ive never been prudish toward, have taken my fair share of, are like putting a bandaid over a hole in the dam. Effective for awhile, the meds dont address the cause. The cause is the root source for the cure. We just need to identify the cause and eliminate it, then work to repair our bodies with what they need individually. None of us fit the mold of the pool they pour us into. We need to learn how to address the many triggers that affect us on an individual basis and then what individual needs are necessary for permanent healing. I'm also just tonight reading about a nationwide study on individual diets. I'll post that site after i read it again tomorrow morning. The conventional methods are clearly ineffective when i read the stories here. The fact that there are thousands on this site alone, and there are more support sites than i know about, is proof that conventional medicine is only a bandaid, we need to identify our triggers, find out how to eliminate them or get help with managing them better, and adjust our diets and lifestyles to repair ourselves on the molecular level for the entire body and all its functions. Gut microbiome to mental health and everything in between. It IS doable but one size doesn't fit all. You are at a wonderful threshold of your door to a new and more fulfilling healthy life that you of all people will revel in like you never imagined you could have. We become better in ways unimaginable had it not been for the trials we have overcome and thrive from that point forward for the rest of our lives. Yours in better health, PπŸ˜ŒπŸ™

Lola2. All I can suggest is a far better option than meds geneticslly engineered with Chinese Hamster Ovaries (read up on how Humira is developed).

Watch the Unbroken series i posted about today and fellow member, JiPrek, shared a link to a few weeks ago.

I quit Biologics a year ago. Ive made many changes while facing my own brew of obstacles trying to do me in. You're a fighter, from what ive read from you, on par with my level. Impressive. You can do this. Your cure is within your ability and you really don't need the meds regardless of your cancer in the past and what conventional medicine will have you buy.

Happy Thanksgiving Lola. πŸ˜ŒπŸ™πŸ½οΈπŸ πŸ¦ƒ

@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. That's fantastic to hear DC! I hope you dont mind me using an abbreviation for your name☺️. I am so happy for you that things are improving. I'm not sure if i mentioned it to you, but a great source for wholistic healing is an app from Zonia.com. Loads of great information from dozens of drs in about every field of medicine, but with a whole patient function approach, many alternative medicine healing techniques discussed, guided meditation and exercise from yoga to strength weight training. I like it, have been watching the short clips and discussions for a few weeks now.
Just keep in mind, a healing diet is very different from a diet just for weight loss, although you might lose weight. If you cheat with foods that trigger your inflammation just once, your body might get triggered to release more of those bad cytokines that make you miserable. Once that happens, you need to start all over from the beginning, rid yourself of the bad cells, build new replacement cells. Ugh. We dont get a break unfortunately.
Try senolytic foods and supplements. I started fixing my diet about 4/5 years ago with an interest towards cellular healing with these. I do think it helps. All my bloodwork is back in the green zones for everything measured, including no sign of mold toxicity. I live on a wetland in FL, lots of molds here. These are polyphenols and flavonoids found in many herbs and produce that have been reported (National Institute of Health publications and others) to help the body rid itself of dead and diseased cells. Bad cells hanging around in the body is like mold in a home. It will spread to nearby healthy cells and damage them too. These are flavonoids like quercetin found in berries, nuts, broccoli, tea, parsley and sage among others; fisetin found in grapes, cucumbers, and lotus root among others; apigenin found in many seasonings, spinach, and oranges among others; and theflavins in tea. I also take a senolytic supplement once a week that i found at Life Extension.com.
Food is medicine or poison DC! Keep up the fantastic work, your body will thank you and someday soon you will thank your body once again. Happy Holidays πŸ₯³πŸŽ„P
