How Is Spondylitis Diagnosed?

A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I deal with pain in my legs everyday. I really feel like everyone has their own opinion of what is wrong including doctors,so many doctors. Now I'm homebound and just keep going from opinion to opinion.

I have 3 gastric ulcers, so l can't take oral antiinflammatorys. The shots of Toradol are the only way l can bring down inflammation. They've been a life saver for me.

i was diagnosed w/Fibromyalgia by my PCP, did not test positive for.any Immflamatory Diseases. Rhuematologist, ddi not find anything in my blood work, so put me on a course of prednisone- helps with pain then is immflamatory. Was then dianosed, by Rhuemy, w/Fibro, Psoriatic Arthiritis & Spondolarpathy, based on good results w/pred., Family History & symptoms. I did test postive later for gene, Rhuemy said sometimes does not show up in 1st stages of illness. Took me a verrrrry long time to find someone who listened, & did not go just on results of blood work. May be time for you to look for, yet another Dr. They ARE out there! Prayers answers come your way:)

Good morning,
I don't have any pain medicine either but my doc did give me twice an injection in his office of toradol. They use that in the hospitals after a surgery and they inject somebody every 4 to 6 hours for pain. It worked really well for me for a week the first time and a couple of days the second time which is really unheard of considering how often they give it in the hospital. Anyway all of this to say that I got some relief and it helped. It's always good to have a break from the pain so I'll take it.
