Can I Be Sensitive To Food If I’m Not Allergic To Any?

A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I tested negative on having any food allergies, but I do feel that food can affect inflammation. I cut saturated fats out because I was on keto and I was really hurting. Now I feel worse. Fatigue and hurting

Sorry about that. It's all a trial and error thing with all of us. For me, a gluten free diet should help me but it actually really upsets my stomach if I follow that diet exactly. Another is an anti-inflammatory diet. My inflammation rates are so high according to my blood work, but if I go on a strict diet to reduce that, another stomach killer. So I do what agrees with my stomach, a loosely based low carb diet but I watch out for my kidneys (stage 3 CKD) and drink lots of water a day. I also know that Apple Cider Vinegar replaces my stomach acid so I have some am & pm. Only one cup of caffeine (coffee) a day makes a difference too. I love tomatoes but they are really a big no no for me. So I eat them very rarely and so enjoy them knowing that it might be a month before I have them again. Dieting is really eating foods in moderation or not at all. Some foods should be on the never list but my mind craves them so badly that I am weaning myself off through moderation. I don't know if this helps you or not but hopes it helps. I have so many conditions, 3 different diets recommended. How to know which one to follow? Trial and error and which one your body responds best with. I guess that is my advice for you.

I was getting a bad stomach ache and cramping after eating and I suspected I had a gluten allergy so I went and they tested me by sticking me w a needle and came back in 15 minutes and told me it was negative but the next day I had a severe rash so I called them and they said oh a little reaction is normal so I told her no my arms are covered with a very bad rash and asked her can I text her a picture and she said no long story short I went gf on my own and had immediate relief ! You know your body best! Good luck!!

I don’t think they have reliable testing for inflammation foods. But I know papyrus are known for removing it.Too much tomatoes and sauces are bad too.

Thanks all, so far I’ve noticed saturated fat, processed food because of the sugar, corn syrup and vegetable oils. What a difference so far
