I believe your disability benefit is based on the SS point system: depends on how much you’ve earned and for how long. Fortunately for me I was maxed out. Also, you can go on Medicare after receiving 24 months of benefits. If you’re granted them the 24 months and benefits start at the date you first file. After they are granted you have limits to how much income you can report or earn.

Overall, your benefit is not a great deal of $. The max today is $3,800 month and that’s before Medicare is deducted.

Hehe, yeah.
Its was extra hard for me because I'm under 30.
However, I decided to get a lawyer that took a one time small pay from my winning if I won.
Thankfully if I happened to lose the case, the lawyer would take nothing.
Without the lawyer, it was constant denial and appealing.
I won Thanks to my lawyer and he took a small cut of my winning. Win win in my opinion.

- Application Process: The Social Security Administration (SSA) will consider your diagnosis, age, medical history, education, and work history.
- Paperwork: There’s a lot of paperwork needed to apply for disability benefits. The SSA offers a checklist of necessary application information.

If you’re facing difficulties, it might be helpful to consult with a disability attorney or advocate who can guide you through the process.
