For A Person With Ankylosing Spondylitis (diagnosed 9 Years Ago), And Surgical Menopause Last Year (no Ovaries), Does Estrogen Therapy Help?

A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Bone structure has not been affected, but has been having inflammation flare ups post hysterectomy. The recent flare-up 3 months ago was very severe and took almost two months first pains to feel manageable.

Hi my wife was on the bioidentical, hormone testosterone, and DHEA cream do to pre-menopause. And it literally took all her pain away after 6 weeks at the time we didn’t know she had AS we thought her chronic pain was from lime disease. Now we know is was AS she was misdiagnosed for 20 years. She got off the testosterone because she was starting to get a small bit of body odor which was not a big deal. Now she if going to get back on it hopefully this week. And we are hopeful it will take the inflation out of her body and take her pain away. She was feeling so amazing on testosterone. Hope this helps a little
