Has Anyone Heard Of Or Tried Rapamycin For AS? It Is Typically Used For Organ Transplants Amongst Other Things.
It's another type of immune suppressant. Like all of them, it's efficacy lies in whether or not the actual source of inflammation that it targets is actually present in the individual taking it. In that regard, I would seek evidence that i have that source of my inflammation present in my body through blood tests or otherwise before compromising my immune system. Afterall, all immune suppressants weaken the body's ability to fight infections that enter it. Sometimes fires are essential for a healthy ecosystem. Inflammation is sometimes the healthy fire.
@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. Thank you, sir, for your question. They are all worthy of asking. Afterall, I learned something new in looking up the drug that i would otherwise know nothing about. If i am ever offered it, now i will have information about it that just might help me. I appreciate your participation on this post. Ask ANYTHING you may have on your mind any time. That lady was rude.
@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. Why the heck NOT ask the question????
Didnt you ever learn or pay attention in all your years of schooling that "There are no stupid questions"? Or did you not go to school?
Your response was rude and disrespectful. If you don't like what someone posts, kindly keep it to yourself and just block them.
I ask because, my daughter a NP, suggested I take a look at it. So I thought I’d ask. She’s didn’t advocate, it as her area of expertise is not in autoimmune diseases. 😊
Thanks for replying. I'm not seriously considering this. Just curious.
