Does Anyone W/AS Have Trouble With Their L4 And L5 In Their Back?
I have the lower back pain. If any touches my lower back it is a real issue.
It common in patients with ankylosing spondylitis.
The condition started (for me) in the lower back in the sacroiliac joints and moves outward to hips and to spin.
A good portion of my back hurts.
So the arthritis definitely advanced to L5-L4.
Yes
Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) primarily affects the spine, including the lower back. People with AS often experience lower back pain, which can involve the lumbar spine where the L4 and L5 vertebrae are located. This pain is typically inflammatory, lingering, and may worsen after periods of inactivity like sleeping or sitting Show Full Answer
