Hi Ingrid, Thank you for responding. Passing out from pain is enormous pain and I am sending you my support right now. I hope all those here and near you continue to stay near as your journey continues to progress. I wish you the very best and relief, Ingrid.

@A MySpondylitisTeam Member yes from what I understand thatโ€™s pretty close to what they are. They both damage your muscles. No the Dr didnโ€™t tell me if it was related or not. But I haven't seen my Rhuematologist yet. This was a neurological ortho surgeon that made these diagnosis' after an ER visit turned into a hospital stay after I passed out from extreme pain. The issues were found on MRI.

@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. Thats fantastic Ingrid! I had BMAC for 3 vertebra in my neck in April. Read about it on my page. I will absolutely be keen to hear about your prp. I'll check your page for that and I added you to my team so I don't miss your posts. No one shares about the regen stuff here. I've only heard 3 others besides us even mention it. Thanks for reaching out!๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ™

Attached above is an article on the topic that you may find insightful from National Institute of Health. gov. Upon reading it, if i were diagnosed with this (and it wouldnt surprise me if i ever am based on the speed and amount of muscle i have lost in a year) I would do exactly what i do for my Psoriatic Spondylitis. I have multiple torn ligaments in addition to degenerative disc disease and a ton of other crap that has taken so much of my vibrant active life in no time at all. To try to heal and regrow muscle i eat a high protein high anti-oxidant ultra nutritious diet and drink at least 70oz water daily to keep the soft tissues hydrated and feed them what they need. One supplement i just now recall that i ran out of some time ago and forgot to re-stock is called HMB. Google that one, i found it definitely helpful to regain lost strength. Gonna have to get on with re-ordering that one.

There are also some promising regenerative medicine therapies that may benefit you as well such as PRP and Adipose Fat derived stem cells. I'm working on getting those done soon. Stay tuned and i will post about it as i go through with it.

Good luck, it's really tough having all your decades enjoyed activities and even necessary chores and employment stripped from your once capable body so quickly, but you can definitely get some of it back and slow the process with daily commitment to it. Exercise, stretch and walk as much as possible every day, eat better than you ever thought you would. I treat my body like it has cancer. Hire a personal trainer and a dietician if you have to. It might just save you from the wheelchair. Thats what I'm aiming for. ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ™
