I used Cosentyx for 3 years and felt it really helped me at first but it wears off early. We tried staggering the injections every 2 weeks and that helped. I just had some stomach issues with it so we are trying Taltz now.

@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. Always a pleasure to help clarify things Dick. The doctors don't do it. Someone needs to.😊

@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. Good evening Richard😌 , Neutropenia is deficiency of a white blood cell called neutrophils. They are necessary for the immune system to fight off bacteria and viruses. Immune system suppressing medications such as biologics sometimes disrupt the body's natural production of this type of blood cell, even stop it completely. That is why there is always the disclaimer, "....(medicine name) may make it harder for the body to fight infections..."

This happened to me on biologics. After having acute bronchitis and sinusitis twice in 3 months I decided biologics are not for me. My Rheumatologist tried me on 5. None helped my arthritic condition at all. One helped psoriasis that I had to clear up. Once completely clear, I went off the biologics to see if a group of anti inflammatory, yet immune system boosting, antioxidants would do a better job, or at least keep my skin clear. So far so good. Its been since last September and I'm doing better than at any time on the bios.
