Has Anyone Had An Ablation Procedure Done Lumbar Spine? If So, Was It Successful?
Ruth here
I've had several lumbar ablation and they helped somewhat. Not completely without pain. Whatever you do, don't let them fuse your SI Joints. Made pain much worse. At least for me.
Hi Dolly here, Canal Winchester, Ohio. Yes I have had ablations to both my lower back and cervical back and they have given me relief. I’m having a lumbar ablation this Monday, Apri 15th. I’m praying it helps with my low back pain so I can work in my garden .
I have had cervical and lumbar Oblations for the last 2 years on every part of my spine in addition to Botox on my scalp and shoulders for pain. The Oblations are painful to have done but are effective for a longer period. Luckily I have secondary insurance to cover them.
My son had one his wasn't but everyone is different
MRI reults says, facet joint arthropathy, spondylolisthesis, degenerative disk disease, modic type 1 end plate changes L5-S1 and disk bulges. Dr did not tell me why, other that what the Ablation procedure is and how it helps with the pain. I should have asked! when I go in 24th I am going to ask before they start. How are you going. Did it help?
