I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis last year and it really destroyed my world. I was 21 and training to be a professional dancer so it felt like everything I'd been working towards was gone.

I just try to eat as balanced a diet as possible, I don't follow any particular regimes. I swim occasionally but I go to the gym and dance regularly.
I take sulfasalazine daily as well as trying a variety of anti inflammatory medications - Naproxen & Celebrex didn't work for me, I now take Etoricoxib daily which has helped.

What sort of diet were you doing?
Also did you do any swimming by any chance?
I was told that swimming really helps.
Also, were you only using Nsaids to control your symptoms or another drug?
