I too had cortisone injections from 2000 and on. Shots used to last about 6 months, now fast forward and every year the โ€œpain free โ€œ time lessens every year.
Now an injection might last 3 weeks, but the week after the injection has me in bed with ice for 4-7 days.
So that equates to about 2 weeks of moderate relief.
I no longer take the injections, not really worth the time or money.
Good luck and do what is best for you.๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿ’

Stiffness in the lower back and hip area can be a common symptom of spondylitis. Here are some key points from the knowledge base:

- Morning Stiffness: Conditions like axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) can cause moderate back stiffness that lingers for 30 minutes or more in the mornings.
- Pain Relief with Activity: Inflammatory back pain tends to get better with exercise and can worsen with prolonged sitting.
- Sacroiliitis: Inflammation in the sacroiliac joints, connecting the lower back with the hips, can cause pain in the buttocks or hips before moving up the spine.

If these symptoms sound familiar, it might be helpful to discuss them with your healthcare provider.
