Anyone Tried Xeljanz XR?

A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Michigan, MI

I fought tooth and nail to get this medication because I refused to go down the road of injectables again. I was on Humira and Enbrel. I developed a nasty rash from Humira and Enbrel did absolutely nothing for me. I’ve been on the Xeljanz XR for about 2 weeks now and have noticed some improvements. Anyone else have success with this medication?

Has Anyone Changed Treatment From Xeljanz To Another Biologic?

A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭
St. Louis, MO

I have taken Xeljanz for about 5 yrs and am in a conversation with my rheumatologist about whether it is time to change. Symptoms that I never had before have started over the last 6-8 mo. Lower back pain, fatigue, low energy.

I've been on remicade the longest, that dose was increased from 500 to 600 mg/ 6 weeks, methotrexate keeps getting higher -- started at 10 mg/wk now up to 20 mg/wk, and celecoxib twice per day. I'd… read more

Has Anyone Taken Any Of The Immunosuppressants If You Only Have One Kidney?

A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Monument, CO

I have ankylosing spondylitis and had a kidney removed. My rheumatologist said there isn't any data with a patient with only one kidney. I told her I feel that it is probably because it's not something you should do with only one kidney, but she kind of just dismissed me and wants to prescribe cosentyx or xeljanz.
