@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. You can also go with antioxidant supplements that act against TNF-A, the cytokine Humira targets, according to literature at the National Institute of Health. I did that a year ago after Humira and 4 other biologics i tried not only failed to help me but made my overall health much much worse. After 3-4 months on better diet and supplements that target inflammation (NIH. gov), my overall average pain and fatigue levels dropped by a daily average of 4 points. Details can be read on my wall under treatments and updates tabs. Yours in better health, P☺️🙏

Abbvie has a copay assistance program that you can sign up for as long as you have private insurance. I was able to get Humira previously for $0 out of pocket. 😉 I also used them previously for Rinvoq, and other drug manufacturers have similar programs.

2. Preapprovals: Ensure you have preapprovals for treatments. Confirm coverage before appointments by asking for procedure and diagnosis codes.
3. Negotiate: If insurance won't cover it, ask your doctor if they can offer a discount or set an affordable fee.
4. Financial Assistance: Look into financial assistance programs from drug manufacturers or nonprofit foundations.
