Thank you for your response. I have called my doctor and am waiting for a call back. That's why I thought I would ask our support group. The biologics have been very helpful for me. I understand that my immune system is compromised but not just from biologics.

I would wait at least 1 week but if it helps u & the pain stay on it whatever works for u stay on it.

@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. This is a medical question that you should ask your doctor who knows your condition about. I, personally, dont think the bios are a good idea without cytokine testing to verify their need. HSV1 is likely the result of not having a strong enough immune system to fight it because of the bios. Bios will cause youvto be much more prone to and much harder to recover from infections that can make your life and condition far more miserable than the arthritis the bios are theoretically helping. Furthermore, when HSV1 or any other virus is dormant in your body, taking a biologic is a definite way to reactivate it more frequently. 😌🙏
