Greetings my friends; I've been silent due to Helene and Milton hurricanes. This is a brief update about it's impact on my home, car, and health, but also about how I have proceeded since the waters have begun to recede, water is boilable, and the power has now been restored. My home was flooded, twice. As many who were hit in a two week period, clean up had just begun when Milton came. Even shelters flooded or as you know the Tropicana Dome Stadium that held 10,000 cots for a shelter had it's… read more

Thanks for your sweet and as always fortifying message. They say bloom where you are planted so we'll see if my roots begin to grow. I've lived many places E.W.N Midwest. and South. My family is scattered but I was born in this state so I'm very familiar with urban and farm life from my parents and grandparents. Take care Ptac. πŸ” πŸ•πŸ‚πŸˆπŸ‚

@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. Sounds like staying there might be your ideal location to settle now, close to family. πŸ’ž

To Brandon and to Beth, (I wasn't sure how to respond to both of your comments) I want to thank you so much for your insight, encouragement, and your optimistic outlook on my life going forward. I'm having quite a difficult day today and it has really been a boost to my being to keep my chin up, remember I can do today, too, and there is plenty of living to look forward to as I move through the "clean-up and tying up loose ends zone". Thank you both so very much. With gratitude from me and from Frank who is right now outside on farm land enjoying the crisp fall air, roosters roaming, 6 cats a purring, 2 other dogs a barking, and a partridge in a pear tree!!!

I've never been on Cimzia but I am on Humira now. I'm so sorry it's so painful for you and you didn't have a medical professional show you how. The day I took my first Humira I had been shown with a mock-up model of a Humira pen at the clinic (provided by the pharmaceutical company that makes it) how to. They often send those with information about it to the doctors offices. This way patients can be shown and demonstrate doing it themselves before using the real pen at home. I'm sorry that wasn't offered to you or it wasn't made clear at a minimum. What is your next step? I empathize and you deserved more information and instruction. I hope you reach out and get what you are needing because sometimes what is offered is inadequate. Best to you, Kris.

@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. Always Lola. Always. I have a lot of respect for you ever since you lectured me about breast cancerπŸ˜„. Remember that? I smile now remembering it. I thought at that time how much like me you seemed. Been through a lot, happy to educate others at length on the topic! ☺️Very well spoken (written) too. I brought you up in conversation with my family, my husband yesterday, my mom today. I told them of your great trials, how much must one good person endure? I have always believed that something good comes of each horrible thing. Some can surely debate that, thinking of Beth's recent shared sad sad situation with the girls and their mother. But maybe we're not supposed to know the good thing that comes. Maybe we'll see it at our own end. But we must not lose Hope in the yin for the yang, it is always there for those who can see different perspectives.
Similarly, maybe beautiful undeserving of hardship people are needed to walk the tortured path. As we do so, we find others along the way struggling with direction and maybe that is our purpose for enduring suffering, to find and lift others up and show them another way, another reason to hang on and persevere through their own trials. It reminds me of another Great Sufferer who led others out of darkness a couple thousand years ago, who has continued to lead billions of others since. If He cannot be present to encourage those struggling to hold on, we can step up to the plate for His team. πŸ˜ŒπŸ™ Keep up the great work Lola. Your rewards are greater than you know.
