Anyone Else Crack Like A Glow Stick All Day Long?

A MySpondylitisTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

Iā€™m constantly popping my wrist and fingers all day to get relief, and I pop my back every night to get comfortable. Anyone else?

@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. Head to toe side to side. Most of the time it's just gases trapped in and around the joints escaping when they are manipulated. When it is no longer "cracking and popping", but more of a "grating/grinding or clunking" not followed by immediate relief it's tendons, ligaments, or fascia tissues rolling over bone or other hard tissue in the body. When pain is increased from those sounds, mobility decreased, shooting nerve pain that is blinding, paralyzing (hopefully temporary), constant numbness and tingling or buzzing that doesnt go away...yeah, thats unnerving. Popping or cracking that brings instant relief is just trapped gases escaping. Keep moving and drink at least 70oz water a day. No other drinks. Hydration of joints and soft tissue is essential for smooth movement. Daily gentle stretching with a focus on joint mobility is paramount to long-term mobility. Kindest regards šŸ˜ŒšŸ™

You're not alone! I definitely make noises when I move and stretch, mostly the grating, grinding, clunking variety.
