Hi Jill, basically you want to get free of all foods that are causing your particular physical symptoms. Most illness is the result of the body being exposed to something that triggers the immune system to go on the attack by producing inflammatory protein molecules called cytokines that mistakenly attack healthy body tissues in the absence of invading pathogens. The challenge is to determine what is triggering the body to do that. Most causes are dietary, environmental, and emotional. When it comes to foods, common culprits are tobacco, alcohol, ultra processed, high fat, added sugar, substitute sugars, and added salts. Foods that help combat excessive inflammation are ones high in antioxidants that target inflammatory protein production. Plant foods are your sources for antioxidants. Lean protein from clean meat sources are good for amino acids essential for tissue repair and regrowth after it has been broken down from illness and wear.
Your best bet is to get with a registered dietician or nutritionist to tailor a healthy diet to your specific health needs. One of your doctors might be able to point you in the right direction for that. If that isnt feasible, i mention my diet and added supplements on my wall. It might give you some ideas. Just click on my icon photo then check the story and updates under the update tab. Theres a lot there. I try to minimize conversations there to just keep helpful tips, but you might have to scroll down past a couple pages because i haven't "cleaned house" in a few weeks. I hope you find something helpful there. Feel free to reach out and ask questions any time. πŸ˜ŒπŸ™

Well... There is a way to deal with this mess quite affectively with vast improvements to overall health, but it involves a huge diet and lifestyle overhaul and commitment. Not fast and easy, but definitely achievable even at your age and condition. It does not involve any medications or deep complicated surgeries. But it's a full time rest of your life commiitment. Dang! Just no quick and easy way. Someday we'll have the Star Trek Dr Bones magic gun, but, alas, today is not that day. Im sorry. πŸ˜’Heavy sigh. If youre interested in the alternative to meds and invasive surgeries check my wall, read the novel. I post everything there. πŸ˜ŒπŸ™
