Exercise Makes Pain Worse?
@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. It is normal to feel the mostbpost- exercise pain and stiffness the 2nd and 3rd days after. Ive been doing it 45 years. Be aure to stretch thoroughly at the end. A oroper stretch routune is 20 minutes. Stretch daily whether or not you strength train. Change the exercises you do so not to over stress one area. Drink lots of water while exercising to avoid lactic acid buildup. Get regular massage.
I'm currently struggling to get back into a routine because I get such pain the second day after exercising. The first day isn't great, but the second is stupid. Now I have a mental block because I'm dreading the high level of pain. (Even when I go slow.) It's like what people call a lactic acid soreness so I know I'm not overdoing it, but worse.
Its a tricky balance for sure. Stay low, go slow. But never quit.💪
