I Started Humira About 12 Days Ago. 2nd Shot Will Be Next Week. I Have Had More Neck And Lower Back Pain After About 3 Days After 1st Shot.

Has anyone had this. My clinical pharmacist thinks it is just my AS flaring since the Humira isn’t working yet.

Yes. I tried 5 bios and the pain just kept spreading and getting more intense. You have to determine what sets it off and get rid of or mitigate that.

I'm sorry to hear about the increased pain you're experiencing. Here are a few points to consider:

- Side Effects: Common side effects of Humira (Adalimumab) include respiratory infections, headache, redness or irritation at injection sites, and rash. Rare but serious side effects include severe allergic reactions, potentially fatal infections, and an increased risk for developing certain types of cancer such as lymphoma.
- Monitoring Symptoms: It's important to share any new or worsening symptoms with your rheumatologist, including increased neck and lower back pain. This can help your doctor determine if your treatment plan needs adjustment.
- Next Steps: Keep a symptom diary to track your pain and any other symptoms. Note when the pain appears, its intensity, and any potential triggers. This information can be valuable for your healthcare provider.
