@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. Well, I'm not a medical professional so I say when it comes to any kind of chest/breast pain for all women over 40 they should err on the safe side, if possible, and get it checked out. Even if you dont have insurance, you can go to any ER in the US and tell them you have chest pain and they'll do a full workup on you, which can be useful so get copies of all labs nd imaging reports even if they find nothing. Just be sure you have 4 or more hours to kill. Could be anything from a heart attack to cancer to nothing at all. You just don't know for sure til you get checked out.

That said, its possible that it's chostochondroitis which is quite common with Spondylitis. Inflammation of the rib cage where the cartilage connects to sternum in front and/or where the tendons and ligaments connect the rib cage to the spine. This is particularly common for Psoriatic Spondylitis, a soft connective tissue issue. I had/have this frequently. But its both sides for me. Now that I recall, most Psoriatic arthritis is one sided so maybe thats what you have? Before I knew about it I thought I was having a heart attack the very first time. Then a couple years later when it came back I thought it could be COPD. Sometimes it feels like that COPD commercial where an elephant is sitting on a lady's chest.

You should get it checked out though. At least mention it next time you see any of your drs.😌🙏

Can you describe your pain a little more? Is it sharp, dull, piercing, squeezing, on one side or in the middle, does it go across your entire ciphertext? Do you feel it in your back too? Is it worse if you take a deep breath? Is it constant or intermittent, worse in certain positions such as lying down or after exertion? Just asking because I have had a few different types and causes of chest/breast pain from cysts to infections to arthritis related chostochondroitis.

I have to have a mri done from my head to my tail bone.. maybe I will get some answers.. I hope, I been trying to get them to do this for years and my neurologist scheduled it.

I have. I also have right bundle branch block though. I asked my cardiologist about it and he says it's "normal" to feel that because many blood vessels branch out in the chest and simple pains may seem alarming and felt stronger because the blood vessels are so tiny. I don't know what to believe. I kind of feel blown-off. My opinion. Sorry you have that going on too.

It's better now. But yes it was on my right side, and it was worse when I breathe in. It was like a sharp light stabbing pain, that got worse when I would breathe in..
