Low Red Blood Cell Count
Hi, I've a low red blood cell count, which I realise can be linked to chronic inflammation and AS, and I suspect could be significantly influencing my fatigue & brain fog. I'm not wanting to go on medication, but does anyone have any advice or experience of similar and how they resolved?
Ditto to what Steve said. I find eating half my body weight in grams of lean, fat free protein per day to be immensely helpful. If you've had steroids or biologics at all in the past year it can affect blood counts. In lieu of meds full of side affects, I have found having a pristine clean high nutrition diet and supplementing with additional antioxidants proven (according to National Institute of Health.gov publications) to have anti inflammatory mechanism of action. Thats what I do for inflammation and it's definitely more helpful than any of the biologics I was tried on. My energy level is back to normal and my blood counts too.
Consult a medical professional.
Lead a healthier lifestyle and diet.
Iron and other vitamins and minerals.
Chronic inflammation and AS doesn't go away miraculously.
Especially if you don't want proper medication.
You're gonna have to tough it out
Good luck.
Thanks both, much appreciated
