I have had several of them and Cathy is correct. I had them more than 15 years ago and did not have any long term effects of the procedure.

Yes I had one about a month ago. It really is not bad. They lay you on your stomach and numb your back then they insert a catheter and inject the die into your spine directly. You will feel a little pressure but that is about all. After they get done with the pictures you have to lay at at least a 33 degree angle for around an hour before they send you home with a driver. You cannot drive or do anything but walk to the bathroom or get something to eat. So make sure you have nothing else going on that day. They make it sound a lot worse than it is. Praying they can help you.
