I have a portable hand messager I use to keep the muscles loose I also swim & hot showers plan b is lots of beer hope it helps u

I as well as others have stiffness in the lumbar spine. I have a recliner chair that has heat and massage for the whole spine. I use the control to the setting of the spine that is stiff or in pain. I recline my chair in a comfy position until I start to feel a bit better. I haven't found an exercise that helps me.

I'm pretty sure we all get stiff lower back. You can Google query, "Physical therapy exercises and stretches for low back" and there will be loads of physical therapists, chiropractors, personal trainers etc demonstrating how to do them.
