Tentative About Starting Humira
I was recently diagnosed with AS. I had started Celebrex 3 days before meeting my rheumatologist. The rheumatologist barely read my chart or listened to anything I was saying before telling me I need to start Humira. My inflammation markers are all down to normal ranges after Celebrex. My pain levels are drastically reduced - though I still have SI joint pain. The Dr said Humira stops the disease progression- which is why I need to start. If my inflammation is down, is the disease still… read more

Who Has Temporal Arteritis Along With Spondylitis?
As if Spondylitis isnt frustrating or painful enough. 😑 I went to my Opthalmologist today for eye pain that causes piercing headache with shooting nerve like sensation thinking it's just a bad uveitis flare from my recent trip and quitting all anti inflammatory meds in preparation for this week's stem cell transplant. He thinks i have temporal arteritis and wants me tested tomorrow by temporal vein biopsy. Im thinking I'll wait til next week sometime after my Monday Nephrology follow-up from… read more

Are These Symptoms/results Related To AS Or Something Else?
I'm newly diagnosed with AS. Just curious if anyone else has these. I have pain on the roof of my mouth and tongue. Little pinpoint dots that inflame up and go away. I also have rashes that were dx as uticaria vasculitis. High CH 50, low IgG.
@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. Oh wow Rhonda. I am so so sorry. Your pain and disease is very real. It us definitely not all in your head and it is definitely well documented. I have a busy day today… read more
Chronic Neck Pain??
Just wondering who else has neck pain and how common it is? I already had a double fusion for Cervical Myelopathy in 2020. My neck seems to bother me more than my back. Everyday it is on fire and feels very warm. I was told I also have AS at the Occipito-Atlanto-Axial Region.
Just wondering how common of a symptom this is? Thanks.
This is unfortunate for you, and hope your solution will be the one that works for you.
