I have a bit of Intracranial Hypertension. I sometimes have a CSF leak when it gets too high. I've found that reclining with a heating pad UNDER the neck and head with a cold gel pack ON my head and forehead helps the most. My daughter also uses this remedy for migraines.

Yes! Those days are when I feel the worst. It’s not a headache, it’s a band of pressure at the level of my temples that makes it hard to think at all, let alone concentrate on anything or have very involved communication with anyone. It makes me struggle to find words to express myself, even basic words. Sometimes, when my husband reminds me of my Headache Hat, having that ice pack encircling my head helps to some extent. If you haven’t tried a cold pack of some type, see if that gives you a little relief. This is a miserable symptom (although most of the symptoms are)!

Hi. Yes I do get a strange feeling around my head. It feels like I have something pulling over my head. Like a head band.

@A MySpondylitisTeam Member. Has anyone CTd your face? Several years ago extreme TMJ sent me looking for answers. Among the many consults, one ENT who did a CT told me he was surprised I wasn't in there complaining about an extremely severe deviated septum. It has never bothered me so I did not opt for his recommended rhinoplasty surgery to correct it. He said it was so twisted that it was almost completely closed on the side of my head that never bothers me. I could see how something like that might cause your issues. I never would have known if not for the CT trying to determine the cause of severe TMJ on opposite side, which has nothing to do with that septum issue found.🤷

Pitac, I wish I DID know! It is a very random occurrence; every few years, all of a sudden, CSF GUSHES from my nose (and very infrequently from ears), and then I have a "pressure relief" feeling. It's so odd... And Western medicine doctors don't believe me, of course 🙄. I also have terrible sinus/nasal passage issues, an ongoing infection that I've had for AT LEAST 12 years that I can pinpoint... Now I'm using essential oils, and guess what? Yep, they're ALREADY working, in days, in spite of all of the medications I've had for all these years..
