I'm usually a fan of Alternative and Complementary treatments and am a Holistic Healer. I'm all of my deep research and experimentation on myself I have found virtually NOTHING that helps the pain. My state is a MMJ state and I've found that a 1:1 ratio of THC:CBD might help a little, to take the edge off - but then it "messes me up" and I cannot function. I'm forbidden to take acetaminophen and all NSAIDs because of other conditions (I burned a hole in stomach wall - and actually FELT IT happening! It was HORRIBLE). The MJ mostly just makes you "not care as much" about the pain, it doesn't take it away. For me, ONLY opioid pain medication works for the pain and allows me to function and be mobile, without being messed up. There is NOTHING wrong with pain medication, as long as you take it as prescribed. Opioids have been vilified in the press but for pain patients who use legally prescribed opioids as directed there is such a small incidence of "addiction" (DSM-V definition) that it is difficult to calculate the percentage. There have been less than 0.23% overdose deaths in pain pts who use medications responsibly

While spondylitis is a chronic condition and may not completely go away, there are holistic approaches that can help manage pain and symptoms:

- Turmeric: Curcumin, the active component in turmeric, has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It has been shown to provide pain relief in multiple inflammatory diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis.
- Ginger: Known for its anti-inflammatory properties, ginger can help decrease disease activity.
- Omega-3 Fatty Acids: These have anti-inflammatory effects and can help reduce arthritic pain.
- Vitamin D: May reduce disease progression in patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS).

Always discuss any new treatments with your healthcare team to ensure they are safe and appropriate for your specific condition.

I would like to think so... and I have tried... I have Multiple sclerosis (2011) and nr-axspa (2022). I have tried meds and healthy eating. I have tried nutritional ketosis. Tumeric, frankincense, tons of supplements. I eat very healthy and exercise most days of the week... but the pain is very real.. and honestly... only gets better with medicine... for me atleast. 🙏🏻
