Just do a little each day , I have a sponge on a long pole you’re suppose to use for washing your body . I use it in the bathroom so I don’t have to reach up or bend over . I use a bar stool to sit on to do the dishes and sit at the table to do any cooking prep . Even if you do just one room or one chore a day it helps .

To heck with it all! Do what my dad did before he met my mom, paint the bathroom black top to bottom and lay another layer of newspaper to the floors everyday. Or do what I do if guests come over, put out a sign that says, "if you see a mess, cleaning supplies are under the sink, help yourself". Seriously, no one notices the mess but yourself. If they do, point them to the sign.
