Thank you for the info. I will check with my Dr. I have recently tried the red light therapy.... Which is not cheap and not covered by insurance. It helps......but still.have those days when nothing seems to help. I am so sorry to hear your diagnosis......

Walkasins is the name of a pair of electronic nerve sensors worn around the ankles and connected to special soles in the shoes. The function is to stimulate the damaged nerves in the feet and ankles by means of electronic pulses.
Walkasins is is available only by prescription. They are made by the medical firm called RxFunction, located in Minnesota.
Your medical care provider would have to be connected with this company in order to acquire these devices. These nerve sensors are not cheap---very expensive.

I have seen that there are other similar devices made by other firms. Have you spoken with your doctors about such things?
My lower limb neuropathy is caused by cervical spinal stenosis and is getting worse. I will probably become paralyzed by next Spring or Summer. The neuropathy is accompanied by severe muscle weakness in the legs---much difficulty standing and walking. I do the best I can.

What exactly are Walkasins and how do they work. ?? I use a foot massager with red light and it helps ......but any length of time standing ( over 20 minutes brings on the pain. Thank you for responding to my question.

I have the same problem---lower limb neuropathy, caused by bone spurs compressing my cervical cord.
My docs gave me a pair of Walkasins---nerve stimulators for the feet. Unfortunately, they don't help with gait issues but least they kill the pain and numbing, as long as I wear them.
