I Read That A Flare Can Last For Months! Yikes. For How Long Have You All Had A Flare While On Treatment, Before It Finally Subsided?
Since I've been on Low Dose Naltrexone my flares only last a few days and they're nowhere near as bad as they used to be. I still have to pace my limited energy thanks to having Myalgic Encephalopathy but I'm in a totally better place now.
4 lonnnnnnnng years.😬
I don't think I understand the flare up. Right now and for many many months, I have lower back pain that makes it feel like I am breaking my lower back to get out of bed, years. I have tension headaches every single day. My shoulders burn. I am constantly trying to grow wings from the shoulder blade area like feel that that kid on XMen that was shaving his wings with an industrial file. Why don't I have flare downs?
When I first started seeing my Rheumatologist about my arthritis I think I had been in a flare for quite some time, like several months. But, he put me on Rinvoq and it helped some but like others, with stress, eating wrong, processed foods, sugar and red meat and carbs, and overdoing walking, like 3 miles instead of just 1, then I pay for it. But I also have what the doc said is Rotoscoliosis so my spine is twisted like a DNA structure and the bottom is attached to my hip from attack of the immune system from AS. But, I find smiling thru the pain and doing deep sighing helps. Keep a diet journal and one about your daily activity and you will see a pattern. Listen to quiet meditative music and I pray.
I think 3 weeks has been the longest so far on methatrexate and humira
