Cymbalta
Hi everyone, I am a recently diagnosed 51-year-old woman and I’m struggling with days of intense depression. My primary care doctor has mentioned that Cymbalta can help alleviate the depression especially in chronic pain disease patients. Does anyone out there have any experience with Cymbalta?
This is very helpful. I haven't been functioning on a normal level for the past year. I am so discouraged. This might help while I wait for Blue Cross to decide if they will cover the drug Sublocade; a monthly injection stronger than Fentanyl.
I would also tell you that being newly diagnosed can contribute to the depression just as much as the chronic pain. I was a hot mess for 2 years after I came down with symptoms & was diagnosed.
I take Duloxetine, generic for Cymbalta, for nerve pain. It does help somewhat.
I take Cymbalta for my depression & fibromyalgia. It works great for me. I forgot to take it for a few days, and boy could I tell a difference.
I have been taking Cymbalta for more than 10 years. My neurologist gave it to me. I am very sensitive to medications but this one seems to work well for me and I can still function in daily life as well.
