What Medicine Are Y’all Taking For Spondylitis?
Naproxene 500 mg, Omeprazole 20 mg to avoid adverse stomach problems. I also take Magnesium malate 100o mg, and vitamin B12 2.5 mg. I use lots of turmeric, and other anti-inflammatory foods and seasoning. I'm on a vegan diet, no meat, fish, eggs, dairy, etc. I live a normal life, the spondylitis is there, a nuisance, but not a disability. Lots of vegetables, fruit, wholegrains: oats, rye, rice, millet, quinoa as well as wholemeal wheat as pasta, etc. Lots of nuts, mushrooms, peanut butter. No sugar, very little refined flour, particularly not refined wheat. No packaged, processed foods, instant meals, commercial fast food.
In addition to my biologic I will often take Tramadol when I really need it.
I can tell you this much, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't work at all. Sometimes it works for a short while, sometimes for a long period. You should at least give it a try.
I just had a CT scan done so my pain management doctor can figure out what direction to go to next. He's suggested injections into my spine. That suggestion makes me a little leery.
Baclofen (muscle relaxer) & Oxycodone
