Members shared mixed experiences with nerve stimulators for chronic pain, with several reporting significant relief from devices like Abbott and Boston Electronics models that allowed them to adjust settings and target specific pain areas, though one member noted their device eventually stopped working due to loose wires. Many emphasized the importance of the two-week trial period to determine if the device works for your specific condition, as experiences varied widely, from life-changing pain relief to minimal benefit or complications like lead displacement and loss of bladder sensation. A recurring theme was that while these devices can be miraculous for some, they require ongoing adjustments, may lose effectiveness over time, and come with challenges like uncomfortable positioning when sitting or lying down and the need for occasional rewiring or reprogramming.

Hi, my husband had the Abbot one implanted which did bring some relief however it stopped working and he found out a couple of wires came loose so they have to go back in and attach an anchor to keep them in place this wasn't available when he had it implanted weird thing is after he had this done his feet are inflamed and very painful and the doctors can't seem to figure out the cause?

Hi, he had it implanted 2 years ago and it comes with an iPhone so he can adjust the strength and he said it definitely brings relief and the implant isn't uncomfortable!

I had the Abbot pain stimulator implanted about 3 years ago. It did help keep the pain down to a level I could live with in the beginning. They have had to raise the power level of the stimulator several times, but it does not help with the pain at all now, because it is so much worse than it was before. I have the Iphone control with mine also, but it has had to be replaced twice. I am considering having it removed.because it feels very uncomfortable when I am sitting or lying down!

I had one back in 2012 and I had a 2 week trial but I had to have it up so high I lost feeling in my bladder and colon .It was removed because of my instability kept displacing the leads .I had minimal bruising .It didn't work for me but I know a lot of people that have returned to a greater quality of life and some it worked so well it's like they were never in pain or had a spinal issue I'd say take the trial and see how you and your body do with it .It differs depending on a person's issues and where the damage is ?Good Luck 🀞 putting in a good word upstairs for you .πŸ™β˜ΊοΈ
