It sounds like you're experiencing some significant symptoms. Here are some points from the knowledge base that might be relevant:

Eye Symptoms:
- Uveitis: People with spondylitis often experience eye inflammation, which can cause symptoms like redness, pain, blurry vision, and sensitivity to light. If untreated, it can lead to complications like glaucoma and vision loss.
- Other Eye Conditions: Blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelids) and episcleritis (inflammation of the clear layer over the white of the eye) are also reported.

Pain Management:
- Hydrocodone: Commonly used for pain relief in spondylitis, but it comes with side effects like drowsiness, dizziness, and more serious risks like addiction and liver failure.
- Dilaudid (Hydromorphone): Another pain relief option with side effects including dizziness, nausea, and serious risks like respiratory depression and cardiac arrest.

Communication with Healthcare Providers:
- Pain Management: It's crucial to communicate effectively with your healthcare team about your pain and treatment needs. Documenting how pain affects you and preparing for appointments can help.

Additional Symptoms:
- Inflammatory Back Pain: Spondylitis can cause pain that switches sides, affects other tissues, and leads to widespread symptoms like joint swelling and enthesitis (inflammation where tendons or ligaments connect to bone).

Given your long history of pain and treatments, it might be beneficial to discuss these symptoms and potential complications with your healthcare provider to ensure you receive the most appropriate care.
