Pain Relief From Doctor
Considering I am most days in pain with a chronic condition
Ankylosing spondylitis my Doctor is very reluctant to issue me with pain killers
I have been prescribed codeine tablets but find these make me so badly constipated and don’t always help with the pain.
I find the most effective pain relief to be Tramadol but my Doctor will not issue them.
Am I better off just leaving my practice and going to a different doctor ?

Cheryl, Upon Perusing You On The Horse, I Have A Question. The Horse Almost Looks Like It Is Not Real; Is It?
Have you tried physical therapy yet? Have you tried anything else such as a treatment or drugs? Nothing has seemed to help me; pain management treatments, drugs, infusions of biologics. I take infusions of Orencia 1x a month and an IVIG of gamma globulin 2x a month which takes 5 hours. It keeps me alive since I don't have an immune system. I'll have to take it the rest of my life. I have all the symptoms of spondylitis - chronic back pain that improves with movement/exercise but worsens with rest, regular flares, peripheral joint pain, and myofascial pain.
